The
Examination Branch is headed by the Controller of Examinations who
is appointed under the respective provisions of the Maharashtra
Universities Act, 1994. It is a statutory post. The Controller
of Examinations is the Principal Officer-Incharge of the conduct of
Examinations and tests of the University and declaration of their
results.
He
discharges his functions under superintendence, direction and
guidance of the Board of Examinations constituted under the
provisions of Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994. He works directly
under the directions and control of the Vice-Chancellor. He is
responsible for making all arrangement necessary for holding
examinations and tests and declaration of results. The Controller of
Examinations is being assisted by four Deputy Registrars and four
Assistant Registrars who are also class one officers in the
University administration. These officers are being assisted by
positions like Section Officers, Assistant Section Officers, Senior
Assistants, Assistants and other manual staff. The total strength of
the examination branch is 150.
